IVECO BUS presents at FIAA 2026 a class II 13-m long CROSSWAY ELEC. It is equipped with

4 battery packs (277 kWh) positioned on the roof and in the rear compartment. It can accommodate

59 passengers. The CROSSWAY ELEC on display marks the 20th anniversary of the range with a distinctive “20 years” livery.

·       CROSSWAY Low Entry Hybrid: a pragmatic and sustainable mobility solution

As a leader in alternative-propulsion vehicles, IVECO BUS further strengthens its multi-energy offer with the CROSSWAY Low Entry Hybrid, available in versions compatible with XTL renewable fuel as well as Natural Gas, providing operators with an efficient and reliable solution to reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions. Combining proven hybrid technology with comfort and operational efficiency, it offers a pragmatic response to decarbonisation challenges in urban and suburban missions.

Its powertrain is based on the Euro VI Step E‑compliant Cursor 9 engine, compatible with XTL (X‑to‑Liquid) renewable fuels, combined with a Start & Stop system and a simple hybrid architecture. This solution pairs a 35‑kW peak electrical recovery motor with the Voith DIWA NXT gearbox. Acting as both starter and generator, the electric motor recovers kinetic energy during deceleration and braking phases, storing it in a high‑energy 48‑V LTO battery mounted on the roof, while also supporting the thermal engine during vehicle start‑up.

Available in Class I (12-metre) for urban operations and in Class II (12 & 13-m long) for suburban missions, the CROSSWAY Low Entry Hybrid offers a perfect alternative energy solution for city centres, supporting the operator’s energy transition objectives. Combining a low-entry architecture with wide double doors and dedicated accessibility features, it ensures smooth passenger flow and easy boarding for all, including passengers with reduced mobility, while delivering an excellent balance between seated and standing capacity.

The CROSSWAY Low Entry Hybrid presented at FIAA is a 12-meter-long class II model featuring an internal layout with 45 seats.

EVADYS, perfect for multitasking and versatile applications

The EVADYS is a versatile coach designed for regional and national routes as well as local and medium‑distance tourist missions, combining the advantages of intercity and excursion vehicles. Positioned in the premium segment of mixed‑use coaches, it delivers high levels of performance, passenger comfort and luggage capacity.
